This is not my usual type of post but with the whole world being in quarantine, there’s nothing “usual” going on. For me, this is Week 7 of being at home and it is crazy to think that the whole month of April went by just like that. I am very hopeful that this whole situation will come to an end soon. Until then, we have to sit tight.
Let’s face it, lounging around in our pyjamas all day is not the way to go. Whether you are working from home or not working at all, you still have to get up every morning, get yourself ready (whatever that means for you), and go on with your life -at home-. There is no rule as to what you should be wearing. Your at-home-outfits might be a lot different from mine. The most important thing is to make sure you feel good, whether dressed up or down. I decided to put these outfits together to hopefully give you some ideas as to what you could be wearing at home to make yourself feel nice and a little more “put together”. I live in sweats and leggings so don’t expect anything too fancy, but, these outfits work great for me.
I could not possibly be any more comfortable in this outfit. I don’t think you can go wrong with a hoodie and a pair of sweatpants, plus, these are all pieces everyone has in their wardrobe. This is something I would wear all the time, on my day off, or even to run errands or go food shopping. The sweatpants I am wearing, I got from Primark almost two years ago now and I find them to be the perfect fit.

Another very comfortable and relaxed outfit. As you can see I really like wearing colour, though I do have a lot of grey ‘comfy clothes’. These sweatpants are actually a straight-leg line (and I do wear them a lot) but I use hair elastics to cinch them in at the ankle when I want to change them up. I have also had them for about 10 years and you cannot even tell! They turned out to be amazing quality.

I love leggings but I don’t usually wear them just to lounge in. If I am putting on leggings in the morning, it is probably because I am planning to work out, do ballet, stretch, or something like that. I don’t know why but I have such a hard time working out in sweatpants. Not only are they too hot, but I also cannot find the motivation to workout when I am wearing them. Leggings, on the other hand, get me going.

I had a black sweatshirt in uni that said: “
NO boyfriend NO problem”. I loved the saying on it but I loved the fit of it more than anything. After being with Alex for a year I realised it was time to part ways with it (I felt like a hypocrite wearing that and having a boyfriend). Ever since then, I have been trying to find a plain sweatshirt to take its place and I FINALLY found this one (which was actually a present). It is not the exact same fit as my old one, but it is pretty dang close. Moral of the story: great sweatshirt.

I cannot remember the last time I owned this type of fleece sweater but is it just me, or are they actually kind of ‘stylish‘?! I love the colou of this one, the oversized fit, and the adjustable elastic that cinches it in at the waist. I am only wearing sweats but something about the colour scheme of this outfit in combination with the shoes and the overall fit of the clothes makes me like it a lot. It makes me feel like I am ready to take on the day and not just sit on my couch and watch TV all day.

I have actually only worn jeans for the whole time we have been home and that was on Easter Sunday. I still wanted to put this outfit together though and to show something a little bit different. Even though I am wearing jeans, I still wanted to keep the outfit very relaxed so I didn’t even wear shoes. I feel like something like that would be perfect if you wanted to wear something a little more special but still be super comfy and casual. And depending on the occasion you can easily dress this up with a nicer top or even just by swapping the fuzzy socks for shoes.

I love matching loungewear sets and this specific one I would totally wear out as well. It feels like a proper outfit and a lot more than just “loungewear”. It feels cosy and comfortable but also put together. When I wear it I feel like I am wearing a proper outfit and not just sweats.
